The U.S. Postal Service has also introduced a Military Care Kit, or “Mili-kit” to make it easier for military families and friends to send care packages to their loved ones stationed overseas. Since the inception of the Military Care Kit, the U.S. Postal Service has shipped more than 150,000 kits. Each kit contains three flat rate boxes, two cube boxes, nine address labels, and 16 customs forms. This kit may be ordered by calling the USPS Expedited Package Supply Center at 1-800-610-8734. There is no charge for the kit.

The Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes included in the kit can be shipped to any APO/FPO in the world, regardless of weight, for $8.95.

All I've done in the past week is eat and workout and play on my computer. It hasn't been very interesting yet, but I'll be sure to tell you when I actually get to do something.

Update: Ok, it seems amazon doesn't ship some items here. I have no idea what exactly the real restrictions are so you'll just have to see for yourself.

Wish List Fixed

Ok, so my wish list seemed to be screwed up, so I fixed it. It's now just a button because the other little widget was retarded and didn't work for some reason. Although I still don't have an address yet so you can't send stuff to me anyways.

Another Day - Another Broken Heater

I've made the journey from Kuwait to Iraq at some point in the past few days. Strangely enough it really doesn't look that different here except for a few more trees and some old iraqi buildings. The weather seems to be just as cold at night as it was in Kuwait, but we at least have toilets that flush here and showers that usually have hot water.

What's truly amazing here is the chow hall. I have never seen so much food in my entire life. At least I'll eat well when I'm here regardless of other living condition.

Sometime today I'm supposed to meet with the unit we're being assigned to. It'll finally be nice to start doing my job here and getting some work done. I not able to give specifics of the missions that I'll be doing, but it looks like I'll be having some fun here.

I don't have anything else to write for today so in closing I'll just let everyone know that I've put up an amazon wish list for things that would be nice to have that I can't find over here. I don't have an address yet, but hopefully I'll get that later today and if you buy something off of amazon you can ship it directly to me. :)

Kuwait

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm in Kuwait and doing well. We got here a few days ago and have mainly been sitting around freezing our butts off. A couple of days involved some training, but mostly we just eat, sleep, and workout.

Pretty soon we're going to head up to Iraq and actually start doing some work. I'm excited about it and can't wait to get started.
